Producers can help to promote the nutritional benefits of milk by grabbing a free Misson4Milk banner at Dairy-Tech on February 5, 2020.
Misson4Milk, in partnership with Mole Valley Farmers, is giving away 100 banners at the event, which read: 'Are you getting enough?' and 'Full Fat Milk? Nope. Just 4% fat'.
The banners are perfect for displaying on farm gates, trailers, or outside rural businesses.
The campaign was launched in 2019 by dairy producer Andy Venables, who also owns a rural marketing agency.
With dairy consumption dropping by a third during the past 30 years, he says that his idea was to do more to market the health benefits of milk and improve consumers’ perception of dairy products.
This began with a social media campaign, including the ‘Milk Pint Challenge’ where people were challenged to down a pint of milk on camera.
“A glass of milk is packed full of health benefits,” says Andy. “The public know about calcium, but milk also contains dozens of other vitamins and nutrients that contribute to a healthy diet, such as iodine, B12 and protein,” says Andy.
